Nokia is all set to release its new device named Tube 5800. Tube is Nokia’s initial touchscreen device which is the best competition for Apple’s Iphone.
Resembling Apple’s iPhone, the upcoming Nokia 5800 Tube will be equipped with 3.2 inch touchscreen display having 16 million colors, 3.2 MP camera with auto-focus and GPS.

Everything is fine, but the performance compare to iPhone nothing. Need to improve a lot in this criteria. Nokia always comes up with great designs but misses the performance. I expect when they release this to the market, this issues should be eliminated.

Let me compare it with iPhone:
Where 5800 beats iPhone -
1. Price!!! iPhone priced at 31000(8 GB) and 35500(16GB) while 5800 will be 19000(with 8GB card)
2. Memory options, microSD card slot available, 8 GB card included in package, 16GB cards will be launched nest year(refer SanDisk) and with the memory limit being doubled every year you can expect higher than 16GB coming your way by 2010. But the thing is that you will have an option, iPhone will be limited to 8/16 GB until they release a different model.
3. Camera at 3.2 MP, Dual LED flash, 30fps Video Recording beats the 2MP, No flash, No Vid recording of iPhone hands down!
4. Screen resolution: Although, the screen size at 3.2 inch is somewhat smaller than iPhone(3.5 inch) the resolution is an astounding 350×640 compared to 320×480 of iPhone.
5. Battery can be replaced easily unlike iPhone. This for me is one of the biggest flaws of iPhone.
6. Bluetooth functionalities are not limited like iPhone.
7. The browsers in 5800 support Adobe Flash files unlike iPhone, Flash is becoming more and more common on websites these days.
8. I like the looks of 5800 better, although both are almost identical. I never liked the metallic back plate of iPhone, specially with all the finger prints and scratches it gets.
9. Symbian S60 is an open OS, i expect a lot more apps for this OS than we get for iPhone, apart from that the UI of iPhone lacks a lot of simple things we get on almost every smart phone.
10. After sales service of Nokia is best in India.
11. Voice call quality of iPhone is not as good as of Nokia.
Where iPhone might beat Nokia5800 -
1. Browsing and GPS will be better that 5800.
2. Music support of iTunes stores is better than Nokia stores(although I kinda like pirated mmedia more so makes no difference to me)
3. Music quality will be a tough call, but since i can not assess that now i can put this with iPhone for now.
